Happy Fathers Day!

Hello Everybody,
Here's some flowers to wish a
Happy Father's Day to all of you wonderful fathers!

Yesterday, we had a great day going with our friends and fellow office sisters, Yayoi and Emi to visit our friends, Brother and Sister Watabe and have lunch at their home in Chiba.

Here's Brother Watabe showing us our lunch! Actually, he found this cute little crab on the beach and it was used as a decoration at lunch.

Here's a Sand dollar that he found, too.

Sister Watabe is from Hawaii, so she has Hawaiian flowers and we had a Hawaiian lunch.

We had Kailua pork, lomi lomi salmon,(finely chopped raw salmon with green onion, tomatoes), Haupia, (coconut milk treat), pineapple and papaya, crab salad with lettuce and noodles, poke(raw tuna marinated in soy sauce and sesame oil), Musubi (spam wrapped in rice and dried seaweed).  For dessert they served pineapple upside down cake and cream puffs, and it was all really good!

Our friends, Brother and Sister Watabe soon to be called Elder and Sister Watabe when they get their mission call!

We're looking from their apartment towards Chiba at the northern most part of Tokyo Bay.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed seeing the ocean, eating, and enjoying great company.  We also played a Japanese game played with flower cards  called Hanafuda .

Here we're home again and looking at the reception center tile mural across from our apartment.

And here's a photo of the neighbor's car which is just across from our apartment.

Here's a different view of the neighbor's car. (When you see this handsome man standing there with the car, it's much smaller than you thought, huh?)

Or do you prefer this car?

Really back to nature, wouldn't you say, and it's situated right in the middle of a parking lot.  Behind 'the car' are our friends and fellow-missionaries, Elder and Sister Wood.

This is for all of you who fall asleep reading our blog.  This photo was taken on the train when we were on the way home from our lunch .  Yes, these young men are sleeping and the one closest to us was also not holding on to anything.  He almost fell over on us a few times but would catch himself while he was still sleeping!

Again, we would like to wish all of you wonderful fathers a very Happy Father's Day.  Click on the link below, and today this can remind us of all the wonderful fathers who try so hard to do what is right, to teach their families to do what is right, and who strive daily to be like Jesus. (It also reminds us of all good and kind people everywhere!)
